Making your own banana raisin bread at home is the perfect way to have a yummy bread that you can enjoy eBREADay. The recipe is easy and it comes out perfectly everytime.

You dont need a special chef skills and equipment to make and enjoy this yummy banana raisin bread goodness.


This easy banana raisin bread recipe is my personal favorite from natashaskitchen.com. I just made some adjustment from the original recipe and made my own version by adding extra banana for a best flavorful fruity banana effect.

And for a soft and super moist texture I use brown sugar in this recipe.

With its sweet raisin flavor, rich buttery banana taste, super-moist texture and undeniably soft crumb, My small family can’t just stop munching for this yummy banana raisin bread.


What you will need :

  • 5 large very ripe medium size bananas

  • ½ cup softened unsalted butter

  • 2 large eggs ( gently beaten)

  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour ( I use cake flour )

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar ( I use brown sugar)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 /2 cup raisins


How to make Banana Raisin bread:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour the loaf pan

  2. In the mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar.

  3. Mashed bananas with pastry masher or fork.

  4. In a separate bowl Whisk together dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking soda and add to batter.

  5. Stir in vanilla and raisins.

  6. and transfered to a loaf pan or loaf dish.

  7. Bake at 350˚F for 55-60 min or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Let banana bread rest for 15 min and transfer to cooling rack.

Helpful Tips:

  • Use brown sugar to achieve a super moist and soft bread texture.

  • Use super ripe bananas to achieve a bananalicious flavor. 😉

  • You can substitue regular all purpose flour with a healthy flour like almond, whole wheat, oat or coconut flour for a healthy guilt free bread.



Banana raisin bread made with Betty Crocker cake mix recipe

And for an easy cake- mix banana bread, all you need is just a box of cake mix, ripe bananas. Just mix up the batter and other basic ingredients in just few minutes and you’ll have a yummy banana raisin bread treat.

Easy Cake Mix Banana Bread using Betty Crocker cake mix


What you will need:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ cake mix

  • 1/3cup oil

  • 3eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (3 to 4 medium)

How to make Banana Raisin bread:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. Spray 2 loaf pans with cooking spray and lightlyf lour the pans.

  3. In large bowl, beat all ingredients and add raisins until well mixed. Divide batter between pans

  4. Bake 40 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of loaves comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Remove loaves from pans and transfer to cooling racks. Cool for about 2 hours, for easier slicing and to prevent crumbling.
